Crochet Pattern(s):

Abbreviations:

[ * ] = Work instructions as indicated in brackets

ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
st/sts = stitch/stitches

Invincibility Star (Mario) Amigurumi:

Pentagon Center: (from  Kelli Ward-Sturgill )

Round 1:
Magic Loop; Ch1, 1sc in ring, ch1, 9hdc in ring, ss in top ch. (10 sts)
(If you don’t know the magic loop, then go to this video [ http://youtu.be/FHYVutk2iYY ] So, far it’s the best I’ve been able to understand.)

Round 2:
Ch1, 1sc in same st, ch1, 1hdc in same st, [*1hdc in next st, 3 hdc in next] Repeat [*] 4 times to form the points of the pentagon. 1hdc in last st, then 1hdc in the first sc st of the round, then sl st in the top ch to close the round. (20 sts)

Round 3:
Ch1, 1sc, ch1, 1hdc in the first st, then [*1hdc in next 3sts, then 3hdc in the following st] Repeat 4 times, then 1hdc in next 3 sts, 1hdc in first sc of round, sl st in top ch to close round. (30 sts)

Fasten off, weave ends in.

Star Points: (from Shh, I’m counting’s Blog )

Star Point:
Row 1: ch1, sc in next 6 sc,
Row 2: ch1, sc in each sc across, (6sc)
Row 3: ch1, sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog (4sc)
Row 4: repeat row 2
Row 5: ch1, sc2tog twice (2sc)
Row 6: ch1, sc2tog, fasten off

Notes:
Personally, when I completed the five individual points, to help make the tie in of the extra yarn ends easier, I slip stitched all the way around the whole star to give it a more “complete” look.

(If you don’t know how to single crochet 2 stitches together, I found this video [ http://youtu.be/wxo6FjnJ-UY ] most helpful.)

Other helpful notes:
This is an amigurimi, though, it’s not made all in one piece. You will need to make 2 stars and then sew the 2 pieces together. Though because of the way that my star was finished I was able to just take my smallest hook (which is like a 4.0 or something) and put the wrong sides outward and whip stitch it most of the way; then I flipped it inside out, and then! I stuffed it and then, I finished sewing it together, and finished it that way.

TUTORIAL FOR DEVIANT ART IS ON IT’S WAY! (I will link this when said tutorial is done! 😉

Crochet Mania Uploads!

Can you say, “HOLY COW?!” Well, I know for a fact that I can. And that is just what I am doing as I recently put all my crochet photos into my photoshop so I can adjust certain things here and there and add some loverly texts to it and make everything all pretty and such. I hope that you enjoy my works as much as I enjoyed making them. Some of the patterns will be available. :3 So keep an eye out! 😉

Crochet, Oh, Crochet …

Oh, the woes of my crochet. The aches in the neck, the wrists, and the fingers. I couldn’t begin to tell you the latter events that I have had to encounter. Lately, I’ve been a little too excited to really sit down and crochet. I have a new store opening, and well, my patience are not really there to sit down and make looping knots. [Laugh] I’m too excited to sleep as well. Can you believe it?! I know, I’m not really sure that I can either! Well, any way, I was just about to inform you of my newest project! Are you excited? I know I am!

 Wait for it! Alright, alright I give in. 😉 I’m making a mohawk hat! Well, you understand the idea of it right? No? Well, it’s a beanie, that has ear flaps, which are completely and totally 100% optional, BUT! This beanie has a mohawk! O-M-G! I know right?! That’s fairly insane. But it looks pretty bad a*s. I’m thinking a picture is in order, so that you, too, can understand just about how awesome this hat truly is. Though, I shall warn you, there are several variations. The photos shall be posted in the order in which I find them most, attractive to my own personal likes (and often dislikes.)

SO! There are many examples of a mohawk hat, and they can be knit or crocheted, I suppose it would only matter on your personal preference of what you would like to do! (Obviously we know what I prefer to do.) I am totally planning on branching out on my patterns and coming up with sketches, and colored images of what my next few projects are going to be, but! First things first, there is an AWESOME Marvin the Martian hat that I want from Wal-Mart.

Lastly, I must add, that I will add photos later of my work, and not until I find a copyright that I’m alright with. 😉 Until the next time!

Bye guys!

The Blog Portion…

So, yeah! Welcome to my blog! As you can tell this might be all about crochet. (*Le GASP!*)  Though, I won’t make any promises. I would hate to have to break any of them. >.<‘

So, I’m not exactly new to crochet, I’m just new to the amount of time absorbed into crochet. I didn’t used to think that I was doing this for lets say eight and nine hours at a time, and then one day when I didn’t have to work, I figured out that I was watching eight hours of T.V. (well, Netflix really) and crocheting all at the same time. And typically I don’t accomplish anything, though when I toss on BONES, in my Netflix, I just soar through the crochet! (Not even kidding!) It’s amazing. But yeah, I think for now, I’m just going to hit the hay after finishing a few things.
