Scarves for Soldiers

It’s my way of raising money for our troops. Since Operation Gratitude started back in 2003 they have been sending care packages by the masses to our troops. And during the winter months they ask for scarves, beanies, gloves, and things like that for our soldiers to wear in their down time. And some of the beanies are given to the children in exchange for crucial information and intelligence. With having a family full of veterans and my significant other enlisted, I am setting a goal to reach by 12.01.12. My goal is to sell 34 scarves at the price of $15.00. This equates to $500.00 for Operation Gratitude to mail out 34 care packages. I will be crocheting many more scarves than 34, many for donations to the soldiers, and then I will have a larger selection that will be for sale.

All scarves will sell for $15.00. All proceeds will go to Operation Gratitude. All sales are final, and will be given a receipt. For the reason of taxes, I ask that all scarves be paid for by personal check, or money order. All money will be deposited into a savings account that will be emptied and closed out on December 1st, of 2012.

Thank you so much for your understanding. I hope this is a very productive year for everyone! God Bless.
